2021/2022 Coaching Staff
I am excited to welcome Sydney and Darren Rogers to the coaching staff for the U13 2021 and 2022 season.

Sydney is a Lady Sting Alumni who went on to play Midget AA before becoming a coach.  She has been coaching in the Lady Sting organization for 3 seasons.  She is experienced in coaching male and female players of all ages and calibers through her role as an assistant with the PEP hockey training program.  Sydney will be instrumental in the planning and execution of the skill development drills that we will use to create a fast paced/challenging environment designed to enhance the abilities of our players.

Darren Rogers is currently serving as the assistant coach to the Sarnia Legionnaires.  He has more then 30 years experience coaching multiple levels of hockey.  Darren is the leader of our Local PEP hockey training program where he has worked with players ranging in skill from instructional to professional.  Darren excels in teaching the game of hockey and the skills required to be successful at every age group.   He is a strong communicator and will be paramount in teaching the team new tactics that they may not have used in the past.

I have been with the Lady Sting for the last two seasons where I served as an assistant coach.  The team was very successful winning multiple tournaments, and making it to provincials before the tournament was shut down due to covid.  Prior to joining the Lady Sting, I was a head coach in the boys system for many years with teams ranging from Novice MD to Peewee AA.  I also assisted on the bench at the Bantam and Midget levels.  I am looking forward to building off of the last season and seeing the girls compete at the next level.

As a coaching staff we are excited to create an environment where the players will be challenged to enhance existing skills and learn new ones.  Our goal is for every player to improve both in skill and in hockey knowledge by the season's end.

Sydney, Darren and I look forward to seeing all of our past Lady Sting players come out to tryouts and we invite any new players wishing to play for the Lady Sting out as well. If you have any questions please contact me at [email protected]
