***VERY IMPORTANT***
  • All Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, On-Ice Helpers, Trainers, and Den Moms are required to have a current and valid Vulnerable Sector Search (VSS). Managers and Treasurers are not required to complete a VSS unless they are also serving in one of the roles above or will be present in the dressing room or on the ice with players.  This is one of the most critical steps of getting situated for volunteering as it takes the longest to process.

👉 It is the responsibility of each volunteer to ensure their VSS is current—either through a new VSS submission or by completing a declaration via the OHF Screening Process (linked below).

VSS results can take time—sometimes up to 8 weeks, as we saw with the OPP last season. Please begin the process as soon as possible to avoid delays. Teams cannot be rostered without completed and screened VSS submissions, which would delay your team’s ability to get on the ice.

📄 If your local police service requires an official letter from the Association to complete the VSC, you can request one here: Vulnerable Sector Search Support Letter (Sarnia Jr Lady Sting)  Letters will be issued within 7 days of your request.

  • If you've already received your VSC from your local aw enforcement, uploaded it through the online submission portal, and your Spordle account still shows a status other than “completed,” we kindly ask that you wait until after July 30th before reaching out to us or the OHF for follow-up.
  • For questions, please connect with your Head Coach or Team Manager first. If you're still unsure or need further help, feel free to reach out to 📧 [email protected], and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
