Permission to Skate Information
Players are not allowed to skate with another female hockey association until mid-April of the try-out year. This is permitted only with prior approval from their current association.
A Permission to Skate (PTS) form will not be processed unless the Team Manager of the player’s current team and the Association confirm that the player has no outstanding financial obligations to the team.
What is a Permission to Skate (PTS) and When Do You Need One?
- A Permission to Skate (PTS) form is required for players who wish to try out for another female hockey association.
- Players registered with an association cannot skate with another female hockey organization without obtaining approval from their current association.
The Permission to Skate form ensures proper authorization and compliance during the try-out process.
What is a Release and When Do You Need One?
- A Release officially removes you from the Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting (SJLS) and assigns you to a new association in the OWHA database.
- Paper releases will not be provided. When you sign with a new association, an automatic release will be generated electronically through the registration system.
- Before the electronic release is performed, the Registrar will verify that the player does not have any outstanding obligations to their current team.
