Celebrating Generosity on Spirit Day - Thank You, Cousi Group!
As
many of you know, we received incredibly generous support this year from the Cousi Group to help grow our goalie development programs, encourage new players to try the position, and make hockey more accessible for underserved families.
Thanks to their donation, we’re proud to offer additional this season:
- Intro sessions for U7 & U9 goalies
- Reimbursement support for goalie equipment
We couldn’t think of a better moment to celebrate this partnership than Spirit Day - a day dedicated to the reason we’re all here: our players.
During the festivities, Steve Gelinas and Mike Deery from the Cousi Group presented a cheque for $8,000 to the Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting represented by Andrew Gardiner, VP of Treasurer, Nathan Jeffrey, VP of Competitive Programs and two of our amazing U9 goalies, Lilah T. and Ainsley K.
Their support has been invaluable, and we’re thankful beyond measure that they saw something in us worth investing in.
Even more special' Steve is a proud grandfather of two players in our U7 program and has become an active, enthusiastic supporter of everything we do at SJLS. On Spirit Day, you could find him happily handing out snacks to our players, embodying the spirit of community and joy.
