Kyle Doyle has been named the coach of the Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting U13 team
Kyle is a native of Sarnia and has served as an assistant coach and head coach with both boy and girls’ hockey during the last few years.
He has run many summer programs, on and off ice with friend, Brad Staubitz throughout the summer months to younger players trying to move up the ranks. Kyle formerly played NCAA Division 1 hockey at Colgate University, winning an ECAC title in 2004 before heading overseas. Kyle played professional hockey in Germany from 2004 until 2017. During his overseas experiences he won the German championship three times and was named best forward in 2009.
After retiring from playing, Kyle began coaching and consulting in hockey and started a career at Lambton College as a Professor. He graduated from Colgate in 2004, then completed a Masters degree in Adult Learning and in the Social Science realm. Kyle is currently enrolled in an MBA program with specialization in Sport Business Management.
Kyle’s philosophy focuses on providing an enjoyable atmosphere of learning, confidence building, and team building. I promote an environment of physical and mental development, while also teaching girls the importance of respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Coaches should provide a balance of instruction and fun, while maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere. The coaches should also emphasize skill development, as well as the importance of teamwork. Finally, coaches should promote the importance of academics and the value of hard work as it is an essential life skill.
Kyle resides in Sarnia, with his wife, Cyndie (who helps secure sponsorships for the girls) and children, Cole & Lily. Kyle loves teaching and speaking about hockey and will answers any related question you might have. He can be reached at
