Ice and Officials Convenor - POSITION FILLED

ICE & OFFICIALS CONVENOR- JOB ROLE DESCRIPTION

 

Skills Required:

     

  • Proficient in MS Excel program
  • Well organized

     

System Access required:

     

  • Bluewater Referees Association Arbiter system – allows review of Officials scheduled for games
  •  

     

  • SGHA Website administrative – allows access to team calendars for managing team ice schedules
  •  

The activities involved in the Ice and Referee convening role are broken out as follows:

 

Time commitments are elevated at start of season (~4-6 hrs. per week) including scheduling meeting impact, so ~ 1 month. Once season is underway time requirement would be ~ 2 hrs. per week. Some increased activity during League playoffs & OWHA play downs. Increased workload towards season end to manage spring tryouts and complete ice usage reports.
