UPDATED: U11 Jr. Lady Sting Evaluation Skates - this weekend
UPDATE: I want all players to gain experience and participate in all 3 Evaluation Skates. We will not make any roster reductions during this phase. Team formations will happen after the 3rd skate. Thanks.I am very excited to finally get on this ice with this incredible group of players. I have seen a lot of sweaty faces coming off the ice after the pre-skates. Still smiling of course!
And now begins the most difficult time for a coach. Please remember that evaluations can be stressful for players and parents. All girls in our U11 program WILL have a team to play on next season. As previously mentioned, my task is to place players in an environment that is challenging and stimulates development while allowing players to be successful and keeping the game fun. Please be supportive and encouraging.
Please Note:
1) Tryouts are open to all players. You may see some new faces that did pre-skates in other centres join us for the Evaluation Skates. Cost for the Evaluation Skates is $60.
2) Registration for Sarnia Girls hockey remains open throughout the Spring. We may see new players join our organization for the Fall.
3) I am hoping to post the Tier 1 team roster by Monday (latest). The Tier 2 roster will also be posted but will allow for any newcomers to join after these Spring skates.
Skates this Weekend:
Eval #1 - I am on the ice and will be running a full practice with the players.
Eval #2 - I will be observing from the stands. We will do a couple drills followed by an intrasquad game. Please arrive 45 mins early to get your jersey.
Eval #3 - I will be observing from the stands. We will do a quick warm up followed by an intrasquad game and a shootout. Please arrive 45 mins early to get your jersey.
